“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand,
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalms 84:10
We are the link connecting the pulpit and the
congregation. We are responsible for seating
members and guests, making them feel loved and
wanted and comfortable in the house of the Lord.
As "doorkeepers" of the House of God, the Ushers
are responsible for making our visitors and all
who enter the gates of Fifth Ward feel welcome and
to tend to their needs while they praise God and
worship with us.
