Fifth Ward Missionary Baptist Church (FWMBC) Christian
Herald is a monthly newsletter which focuses on biblical
teaching, church and social events within the Fifth
Ward community. The purpose of this newsletter is to
minister to anyone blessed to read it, in hopes that
it will meet a need in their life. This newsletter is
published and available on the first Sunday of every
month.
The FWMBC newsletter staff consists of: Sis. Jewel
Burnside, Senior Adult Activity Reporter and Sis.
Neotha Collins, Mission Reporter. Other regular
contributors to the newsletter consist of: Rev.
Leonard Barksdale, the pastor, Sis. Maggie Thornton,
with the monthly Sunday School preview. We accept
information from all members that is educational,
inspirational, and beneficial to the whole body.
The Christian Herald also features special days and
events in the church such as: birthdays, weddings,
anniversaries, births, baby blessings, advertisements,
and special tributes to old and new members. We are
very proud of the young people of our church,
therefore, we encourage them too, to keep us informed
of noteworthy things that they do so that we can
publish them in the newsletter.
The staff of FWMBC Christian Herald ask that all
articles for the newsletter be turned in to any
staff member or put in the Newsletter slot, located
in the church clerk's office no later than the fourth
Wednesday night of each month. Articles may also be
submitted by email to the editor,
Sis. Carrie Taylor, no later than the fourth Wednesday
night of each month. Special thanks to everyone who
